Sarah has been working as an Architectural Engineering Technician for over five years. Sarah is a Certified Technician in the building discipline, recognized by the Society of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists of Nova Scotia (TechNova).
Sarah graduated from Acadia University with a Bachelor of Arts in 2014 and continued her education in the two-year Architectural Engineering Technician program at NSCC Ivany Campus. While at NSCC, her education included overseas studies at Willowbank Canova Italy Field School in Ghesc, Italy, and The International Summer Academy in Engineering for Women in Wels, Austria.
During her studies abroad, Sarah helped to restore a thousand-year-old stone village and studied a wide variety of topics in engineering. Sarah's travel and experience aid in her understanding of how the design and built world come together.
Upon completing her studies, Sarah worked on high-end residential home designs, site plans and collaborated with others on multi-unit buildings.
In 2019, Sarah established Thomas Homes X Design, where the values of the natural environment, client budget, and smart design practices are of utmost importance.
